I drove the 45 minutes to Wellston at 3:30 in the morning, panicking because I’ve never been to Wellston, and I’m very prone to getting lost during the day, much less in the middle of the night. I arrived at Airie’s home and walked into the calmest environment I’ve ever experienced. The house was quiet, and smelled of purification from a diffuser placed in the bathroom where Airie planned to welcome her newest baby earthside. She labored freely throughout the house, pausing for a moment with each contraction, and immediately going back to joyous laughter with her husband and friends. Baby E was born just before sunrise into a home full of love.
